Patience pays off

Professional photographer Andy Nguyen found this Anna's hummingbird's nest near a trail in Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, California, where he often walks. “Not knowing the exact date the eggs were laid,” the Florida resident writes, “I returned every couple of days to see if they'd hatched.” Nguyen used a Nikon D300 and a 300mm lens.
