Photo of the Week: Taking Off

Professional photographer Joe Petersburger captured this image of a bee-eater leaving its nest in Hajdubagos, Hungary. Bee-eaters nest with sand martins in loose colonies here. “They have to feed their chicks dozens of times every day,” the Hungarian resident writes. Petersburger used a Canon EOS-1D Mark II and a 16-35mm lens.
