Vermillion Lakes at Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada, consists of a series of three lakes near Mount Rundle and Sulphur Mountain. While the scene is often photographed, Jian Hang waited until a summer sunset bathed the mountain peaks in an orange-red light. “I made over a dozen shots and got this one with a gradual neutral density filter turned upside down and a polarizer,” the Louisiana resident writes. Hang used a Nikon D700 and a 17-35mm lens on a tripod.
