A polar bear mother and her two cubs in Manitoba

Mark Wilson tolerated temperatures as low as -55 degrees F to get a few shots of this polar bear family at Wapusk National Park in Manitoba. "The mother was very protective of her babies," the Oregon photographer says. "It was interesting to see how closely she was shielding them and also the symmetry of the babies walking in sync with their mother." Wilson used a Canon EOS-1D Mark III camera.
