Photo of the Week: Winter Sun Burst

To close out 2012 and begin a new year, we present this striking image of the setting sun’s rays shining through snow-covered trees in Alaska’s Chugach National Forest. Hawaii resident Mike Wiley photographed the “sun star” using a Canon 1Ds Mark II and a 17-40mm lens.
