Photo of the Week: Curious Joey

Curios joey

Yuraygir National Park is one of Australia’s most diverse bio-regions, featuring a mix of rainforest, woodlands and wetlands, more than 40 miles of undeveloped coastline and a bonanza of native animal and bird species. An autumn trip to this protected area allowed photographers Yva Momatiuk and John Eastcott to see these treasures up close, including this eastern grey kangaroo female with an alert and curious joey sticking out of her pouch. The New York residents used a Canon 1Ds Mark III camera.
