Chapel in Yosemite

Yosemite Falls is an icon of Yosemite National Park and often photographed. Sue Karski writes, “One hour after arriving at the park, I broke my left elbow. It was a chore to take any photos with my arm in a cast, but I persisted with wonderful results.” For a different view of the falls, the Florida resident incorporated Yosemite Chapel, and the resulting image has won awards in local competitions. Karski made seven exposures and combined them using the HDR process for maximum detail in highlights and shadows. She used a Canon 7D and a 17-55mm lens.
