Photo of the Week: Elephant Games
While visiting Tanzania’s South Serengeti, photographer Cesar Aristeiguieta observed a grazing pack of elephants that was initially very protective of its young.
The California resident writes “The pack finally relaxed after about four hours, allowing the baby elephants to leave the center and play freely in the high grass. This little one would charge at oxpeckers, and he almost seemed to laugh as the birds scattered.” Aristeiguieta used a Nikon D3 with a 600mm lens and 1.7x teleconverter. .
