Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Lake Superior

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is known for its sandstone cliffs that hug the Lake Superior shoreline for more than 40 miles. “Sometimes landscape photography can get hazardous,” photographer Steve Perry wrote. “The wind snarled, and the waves filled the air with a roar while I was perched with my tripod about 3 feet from the cliff edge.” The Ohio resident used a Nikon D3X and a 24-70mm lens.
