Raise your hand, or paw, in support of Earth Day! Each year on April 22, more than a billion people in 192 nations demonstrate their support for environmental protection by planting trees, cleaning up their communities and attending public gatherings. This year, as the reality of climate change becomes increasingly clear, Earth Day 2014 focuses on ways to reduce human impact on natural habitats, for example by creating sustainable communities. At Lake Clarke National Park and Preserve in Alaska, photographer Sara Lopez captured this image of a grizzly bear and her cub using a Canon 1D Mark II N camera with a 300mm lens.
