Ways To Help Gulf Coast Wildlife

National Wildlife Federation has mobilized staff and volunteers on the ground in the Gulf to respond to the crisis facing wildlife and coastal habitat. Help us continue our work to protect Gulf Coast wildlife, habitat and communities.

Raise Awareness

• Join us in spreading the word about the latest oil spill developments and ways people can help.

Help Wildlife in Your Own Backyard

• Many of the birds affected by the oil spill are migratory. Help them out by providing wildlife habitat in your own backyard, school or community.

Share Photos from the Gulf

• If you live on the Gulf Coast or visit an area impacted by the oil spill, upload photos to NWF's Oil Spill Flickr Group.

Donations made to NWF's Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund support our immediate response efforts and our long-term work on-the-ground to protect wildlife.

Individuals: There are many different ways for you to get involved with NWF’s efforts to confront this growing catastrophe:

• Call 1-800-822-9919 and specify you would like your donation to go to the "Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund."
