I captured this photo on my grandmother's balcony in Anykščiai, Lithuania, on June 4th, 2012, using a Canon PowerShot SX150 IS. This photo features a karkvabalis, which translates to May Bug, or cockchafer. I thought that this creature was so fascinating, so one-of-a-kind, so odd that he deserved a couple of shots dedicated to his antler-type antenna, deep brown eyes, and fuzzy chest. I caught this shot when he was attempting to take off into flight, sporadically waving his legs, hoping to gain balance. By pure coincidence, he looks as if he's waving a friendly greeting.
