Join us at the Houston Space Center to celebrate Earth Day and take the carbon cleanse challenge! Your family can enjoy live music, activities, workshops and more. Learn about the No Impact Experiment to see if you could go a full week without make an environmental impact on planet earth. It’s not about giving up creature comforts but an opportunity for you to test whether the modern “conveniences” you take for granted are actually making you happier or just eating away at your time and money.

HBCU Climate Conference

Meet us at the HBCU Climate Conference (New Orleans)

April 17-18

Join us at the 2nd Annual Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Climate Change Student Conference. It will educate minority students on climate change theory and experience as it relates to racial, social, public health, and economic disparities in the wake of weather related disasters. This conference features national experts, student poster sessions, and a gulf coast community tour.

This family-friendly outdoor festival in Dallas inspires Texans and celebrates green lifestyle choices that can lower their cost of living, improve their health, and help save the environment. Don’t miss David Mizejewski - naturalist, author, blogger and national media personality with National Wildlife Federation – who will be making appearances with some Texas critters both Saturday and Sunday.

Interested in career development and leadership opportunities within the conservation movement? National Wildlife Federation is currently accepting applications for our Emerging Leader Fellowship Program! Since 2000, National Wildlife Federation has awarded over 170 Fellowships to students across the country working on projects ranging from campus-wide energy audits to implementing sustainable forestry practices; reaching more than 2.5 million students, faculty, staff and community members at the fellowship campuses. Application deadline is April 30, 2014.

Support Conservation Work This Month at H-E-B! (Texas)


Throughout the month of April and into the first week of May, look for the EarthShare of Texas display and tear-off coupons at the check-out stands in any Texas H-E-B and Central Market stores. You can tear off and add check-out coupons worth $1, $3, or $5 to your bill to support environmental work in Texas for the entire month of April.

H-E-B, in recognition of Earth Day, has selected EarthShare of Texas and its member organizations to be the April recipient for its in-store coupon promotion! H-E-B supports many EarthShare of Texas' organizations, including NWF's Texas office, with corporate grants or in-kind contributions. The April tear-pad promotion enables H-E-B customers to bolster the diverse environmental program work of more than three dozen EarthShare of Texas’ organizations. Your dollars will go directly to these organizations, benefiting both the Texas environment and economy. Look for the tear-off sheet at checkout!
