Celebrated every year in March, National Wildlife Week is a time we set aside to honor wildlife and ignite the minds of children and adults.
This year, to honor the 75th year of this NWF holiday, we’re not only designing materials and activities that celebrate the wonder of trees and how they help wildlife—we’re also helping schools and groups across the country host on-the-ground tree-planting events.
• Start planning your National Wildlife Week celebration.
• Apply to host a tree planting event -- NWF will provide FREE trees!
Whether it's your first time camping or you're a tent-pitching pro, National Wildlife Federation has the resources and inspiration you need to get you and your family outdoors for a night of outdoor exploration. Register your Great American Backyard Campout throughout the year and you can be eligible for great prizes and incentives. In 2012, NWF hosted six Hike & Seek events across the country that drew hundreds of people outside for a day of fun and wildlife encounters. Hike & Seek is a cross between a nature hike and scavenger hunt aimed at bringing family and friends together in the great outdoors for fresh air and fun!
