Safe Routes To School

Children riding bikes

Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is a national and international movement to create safe, convenient, and fun opportunities for children to bicycle and walk to and from schools funded through the transportation bill. The program has been designed to reverse the decline in children walking and bicycling to schools.

Visit the Safe Routes to School National Partnership for the latest information on funding and legislation and check out the National Center for Safe Routes to School for information on how to implement safe and successful strategies.
