Creating Environmental Leaders

Earth Tomorrow® is NWF’s multi-cultural, environmental education and leadership development program, creating opportunities for underserved youth to develop environmental literacy and life skills that will help them make valuable contributions to the ecological health and leadership of their communities.

Earth Tomorrow

The program cultivates a new generation of lifetime environmental stewards through a yearlong cycle of leadership training, issues exploration, civic engagement, career development, community outreach and education, and student-led community action projects for urban teens.

Our Summer Institute engages rising 10th-12th grade students in hands-on leadership development activities, interaction and discussion with environmental professionals, fieldwork and outdoor experiences.

Implemented in Atlanta in 2001, the program has involved over 1000 youth in conservation action and environmental service learning projects and brought together high school educators and community members
