The National Wildlife Federation invites our 80th Anniversary Luncheon sponsors to join us the morning of the Luncheon for our Insider Briefing. We are thrilled to share the news that Douglas Brinkley, award-winning historian and best-selling author, will be joining us for the Insider Briefing to talk about Ding Darling’s legacy, the founding of NWF and parallels to today’s conservation challenges. His newest book, Rightful Heritage: Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Land of America, features several chapters on “Ding” Darling.
Brinkley is a professor of history at Rice University, a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, and CNN’s official historian. His most recent books are Cronkite, The Quiet World, and The Wilderness Warrior. Six of his books have been selected as New York Times Notable Books of the Year.
