Disney honored National Wildlife Federation and four of our young leaders for our work in connecting kids with nature. NWF CEO, Larry Schweiger and four student representatives participated in the Disney Kids and Nature Celebration, which included the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund Awards Ceremony, the world premiere of Disneynature’s Chimpanzee and the first-ever Disney Friends for Change Youth Summit.

For one year beginning February 1, 2013, Sungevity will give the homeowner a $750 cash gift card and another $750 to NWF for each residential solar system sold or leased through this link, and installed on the home, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $25,000.

Groupon selected NWF as one of only six nonprofits for their special online fundraiser, the Big Give. From November 12th to December 26th, Groupon members could make a $10 donation to NWF to plant and care for a tree, and our partner American Beauties Native Plants® donated $20 worth of plants for community planting projects across America, up to 3,000 plants. 806 Groupon deals were sold, raising a total of $8,060 for NWF.
