2008 Annual Meeting
Wildlife Conservation: Meeting the Challenges in the 21st Century

72nd Annual Meeting
Keystone Resort, Keystone, CO
May 14 - 17, 2008

Dear Friends:

In 1936, "Ding" Darling challenged conservationists to combine their "mass strength for the common aims of more wildlife and restoration of the environment..."

"Ding" Darling went on to say, "Do not expect anyone to do the job for you. If you want coordination it is up to you. If you want an annual conference of federated wild life interests that is also your privilege."

For 72 years, affiliate organizations, members and supporters of the National Wildlife Federation have combined their "mass strength" to get the job done on behalf of wildlife. Our Annual Meeting is a time to celebrate these successes and embrace the challenges that still confront us.

It is a great privilege to extend to you an invitation to join National Wildlife Federation's 72nd Annual Meeting, May 14-17, 2008 at the Keystone Resort and Conference Center in Keystone Colorado.

This year's meeting, Wildlife Conservation: Meeting the Challenges in the 21st Century, will focus on critical issues such as helping wildlife survive global warming, protecting our public lands, and connecting people with nature. The meeting will also offer opportunities for affiliate organizations to enhance their capacity to forge new partnerships, engage state legislatures, and outreach to key constituencies.

With the White River National Forest as its backdrop, Keystone is part of an ecologically rich habitat of wetlands, forests, river beds and alpine lakes. The resort spans seven miles along the Snake River and encompasses three spectacular mountains. It is truly an inspiring location to work together toward our "common aims" of protecting wildlife for our children's future.

We look forward to seeing you at this year's Annual Meeting.
