Collaborative Learning Workshops
This year’s workshop topics are designed to encourage participation and conversation amongst attendees. Topics may include: Integrating Climate Science into Habitat Management, Energy Development Impacts on Wildlife, Building Grassroots in Your State, and Enhancing Your Political Influence.
Awards Dinner
NWF will celebrate and congratulate the outstanding individuals who will receive the following awards:
The NWF Volunteer of the Year Award honors outstanding volunteers who help build the conservation movement by volunteering their time, talent, and service in support of NWF and its affiliates.
The Charlie Shaw Conservation Partnership Award annually recognizes individuals within a NWF affiliate organization and individuals within the NWF staff. The award recognizes someone who has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the NWF/Affiliate partnership.
Affiliate of the Year, a National Conservation Achievement Award, recognizes NWF affiliate organizations for conservation accomplishments and contributions to collaborative efforts with NWF and its supporters.
The National Conservation Award for Special Achievement recognizes individuals for exemplary conservation achievement.
General Sessions
America’s conservation leaders will discuss groundbreaking ways to revitalize our economy and meet the immense challenges of global warming, by investing in energy efficiency and clean energy technology while also protecting our health, our vulnerable communities and our natural resources from climate impacts. Speakers include Larry J. Schweiger, President & CEO, National Wildlife Federation; Tom Gonzales, Chair, Board of Directors, National Wildlife Federation; and other conservation leaders.
