Collaborative Learning Workshops
This year's workshop topics are designed to encourage participation and conversation amongst attendees. Topics may include: Protecting our Public Lands, Water for Wildlife and People, Renewable Fuels and Habitat, Reversing Nature Deficit, Civic Engagement "Building Clout in your Legislature," and Online Tools for Advocacy and Membership.
Awards Dinner
A celebration of achievement, the NWF Volunteer of the Year Award is given to stellar volunteers in recognition of their success in leading restoration work in their communities. The Award is one way NWF shows appreciation for volunteers' contributions and their dedication to protecting wildlife and wildlife habitat.
The Charlie Shaw Conservation Partnership Award annually recognizes individuals within a NWF affiliate organization and individuals within the NWF staff. The award recognizes someone who has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the NWF/Affiliate partnership.
Affiliate of the Year, a National Conservation Achievement Award, recognizes NWF affiliate organizations for conservation accomplishments and contributions to collaborative efforts with NWF and its supporters.
The National Conservation Award for Legislative Achievement honors those who have made special use of the law or of elected office to protect or restore the environment or natural resources.
The National Conservation Award for Special Achievement recognizes individuals for exemplary conservation achievement.
General Sessions
America's conservation leaders will highlight the pressing threats to wildlife and our environment and the need for a revitalized conservation movement. Speakers include Larry J. Schweiger, President & CEO, National Wildlife Federation; Tom Gonzales, Chair, Board of Directors, National Wildlife Federation; tribal leaders and other conservation leaders.
Field Trips
Annual meeting attendees may have the opportunity to participate in local restoration projects and/or field trips. Check back later for more details.
