NWF Annual Meeting Restoration Projects and Field Trip

NWF is pleased to annouce that the following restoration projects and field trip will be available Saturday, May 17 for any meeting attendee wanting to participate. Please sign up for a restoration project or field trip during the registration process. Limited space available and will be weather permitting.
Western Issues Tour: Join this bus trip through the Colorado high country to obtain an overview of the issues facing the West. The trip will give you an opportunity to learn about hard rock mining and oil and gas development - two issues facing our public lands in the west. The trip will discuss the effects of climate change, specifically exploring the loss of forest to pine beetle infestation. Lastly, the trip will provide an overview of Western water issues.
Jessie Mine and Mill Site Restoration Project: Contribute to the Summit County Open Space and Trails ongoing effort to restore this former mining site near Breckenridge. Their efforts have included stream and river restoration. This trip will allow you to help in the effort to reestablish native vegetation, through the planting of seedlings.
White River National Forest Clean-up: Join the Friends of Dillon Ranger District in their ongoing efforts to clean up an area of the White River National Forest along the shores of Lake Dillon
