Get Moving with Colorful Shapes
This game is a great way to be active while learning colors and shapes.
Materials
  • Red, green, yellow, and blue craft foam
Steps
Step 1
Cut Foam Into Shapes

Cut the craft foam into the following shapes:

  • 2 red 8" circles
  • 2 green squares (8" x 8")
  • 2 blue rectangles (6" x 12")
  • 2 yellow triangles (10" x 10" x 10")
Step 2
Play a Game with the Shapes

Arrange the shapes on the ground. Play a game with your child. Have him or her hop on, pick up, or find different shapes.

 

Blue is a rectangle!
Can you find two?
Is that yellow triangle
Hiding from you?
