Materials
- Construction or other colored paper
- Craft glue
- Colorful paint
- Colored poster board
- Drinking straws
- cardboard tube from a roll of paper towels
Steps
Make head shapeOutline a basic head shape (with ears and horns, if you want) on poster board, making sure it's big enough to cover your own face. Cut it out.
Mark eyesHold the mask up to your face and mark where your eyes are. (You may need help with this.) Put the mask down and cut out the eyes.
Make featuresFor features such as a nose, cut out the overall shape from a piece of colored paper. Then fold the paper and cut slits or scalloped edges. Open your paper and glue it to the mask. (You may need to experiment to get the shapes you like.)

Add handleFlatten the tube and glue construction paper around it - or paint it instead. Then glue the tube to the back of the mask, leaving a few inches at the bottom for a handle.
