These tasty raisin biscuits look like real moon rocks!
Materials
- Greased baking sheet
- 6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- ¼ cup dry oatmeal
- ¼ cup raisins
- 6 tablespoons sugar
Steps
Mix Dry IngredientsMix the flour, oatmeal, sugar, and cinnamon together with fork in a large bowl until well blended.
Add Butter and EggAdd 6 tablespoons of softened butter and one beaten egg to the dry mixture and blend with fork until the batter has a sticky consistency.
Add RaisinsAdd the raisins to the batter and mix together with fork.
Bake BiscuitsTake small handfuls of batter and form them into balls, each about the size of a golf ball, and place onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake approximately 15 minutes. Let cool for 5-10 minutes. Makes 8–12 biscuits.
