About the Program The Campus Climate Champion Program puts campuses on the track to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions scientists say are necessary in order to avoid some of the most severe impacts of global warming. The Program is a way to formalize your campuses commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 2-3% per year. Champion campuses will document their emissions reductions using greenhouse gas inventories, develop climate action plans to meet emissions reductions targets, and share their strategies with peer institutions, communities and elected officials. Getting StartedA pilot phase of the Campus Climate Champion Program will run from Spring 2008 through August 2008 in partnership with 50 campuses. The Program will launch nationally in September 2008. Download a copy of the NWF Campus Climate Champion Program to participate.
