(Grant Period: September 2002 - June 2003)

NWF's 2002-2003 Campus Ecology fellows are leading the way for future student leaders, advancing campus greening initiatives at colleges and universities throughout the country.

This class of fellows are focusing their efforts on strengthening the importance of native habitats in an urban environment, educating youth about alternative energy, implementing a range of projects to support sustainable markets and providing resources and tools to support student leaders on campus and in the community.

Transitioning to full year fellowship projects, the fellows are taking advantage of the additional time by identifying and cultivating key relationships with stakeholders on and off campus. Through matching support, in kind contributions, technical assistance and community building, the fellows are ensuring successful initiatives on campus and leveraging their projects to extend beyond the bounds of the college grounds.
