The National Wildlife Federation's Campus Ecology Fellows cconfront global warming on their campuses and help to educate and engage the campus community on global warming impacts and solutions.

NWF Fellowships allow students to pursue their vision of an ecologically sustainable future through tangible projects to confront global warming on campus and in the community. Fellows gain practical experience in the conservation field and first-hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities inherent in successful conservation efforts.

HOW TO APPLY

New 2010 Campus Ecology Fellowships Open for Applications!

This year the Campus Ecology Program is taking a new approach to our Fellowships. We are offering a number of Campus Ecology Program initiative-based Fellowship in which the Fellows will work directly with Campus Ecology staff on some of our most important initiatives.

Gain professional experience, learn more about the youth climate movement and help be the change. Apply today!

How to Apply:

  1. Submit a cover letter and resume through NWF’s Career Gateway website: www.nwf.org/careergateway
  2. Submit at least two letters of recommendation via email to campus@nwf.org with clear subject line that includes your full name - Example: John Doe's Fellowship Recommendation
    * One recommendation must be from a faculty or staff person at your College or University.
  3. Identify a grant processor or grant processing department on your campus that will be responsible for receiving and distributing the fellowship grant money. Please confirm with this person and/or department that they can serve in that role and include their full contact information in your application.

Applications are reviewed by a committee to determine which meet the selection criteria and fall within NWF Campus Ecology Fellowship Program. All applicants will be notified of their status within one month of their application deadline.

Since 2000, NWF has awarded 120 fellowships to students across the country working on projects ranging from campus-wide energy audits to implementing sustainable forestry practices. Search the Fellowships database by campus, topic and year to learn about these projects and get inspired!
