General Terms and Conditions
National Wildlife Federation (“NWF”) has selected tours that are organized and administered by qualified tour operators. The designated tour operator (“Tour Operator”), in turn, acts only as agent for the transportation carrier, hotel, ground operator, or other suppliers of services connected with these expeditions (“Providers”). The Providers are solely responsible and liable for providing their respective services. All receipts, coupons, and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the Providers. NWF and Tour Operator shall not be held liable for (i) any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to, death of, persons arising directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any Provider, including but not limited to any defect in any aircraft, watercraft, or vehicle operated or provided by such Provider, and (ii) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused Acts of God, weather, terrorism, theft, or any other circumstances beyond NWF or Tour Operator’s control. The Participant waives any claim against NWF, Tour Operator, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and representatives for any such loss, damage, injury, or death. By registering for the Expedition, the Participant certifies that he/she has read the itinerary completely, including the cancellation policy. By registering for the Expedition, the Participant certifies that he/she does not have any mental, physical, or other condition that would create a hazard for him/herself or other participants. Eligibility: Participation in National Wildlife Federation Expeditions is a benefit of being a current member of National Wildlife Federation. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire Expedition, and may be precluded from joining certain Expeditions. All participants must be in good physical and mental health. The age of any participant under 18 years old must be reported in writing when the reservation is made. Any physical condition requiring special attention, diet, or treatment for any participant must be reported in writing when the reservation is made. NWF and Tour Operator reserve the right to decline to accept any reservation or to require a Participant to withdraw from an Expedition at any time if such action is determined to be in the best interest of the health, safety, and general welfare of the Expedition group or Participant. Basis of Rates: All prices are based on two persons sharing a room or cabin. All prices and fares quoted in U.S. dollars. While the designated tour operator will do everything possible to maintain listed prices, rates are subject to change. Itineraries are also subject to changes, substitutions, and omissions. Notification of any changes, including price changes, will be given at or before final invoicing. The tour operator reserves the right to cancel any trip due to inadequate enrollment. Deposits, Cancellations and Refunds: A deposit of $500 per person per expedition is required to reserve your space on an Expedition. You will be invoiced later for the final payment. If you wish to cancel, you must send written notice of cancellation to NWF or the tour operator. However, we cannot guarantee that full or partial refunds of deposits will be made. Refunds will only be given in accordance with each Tour Operator’s refund policy, provided on the trip itinerary. Refunds on airline or other transportation tickets are subject to the carrier’s refund policy. We will not be responsible for any refund for nonrefundable airline tickets, or for any airline tickets purchased by the Participant directly from an airline or travel agent. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation and general travel insurance. This is a general list of Terms and Conditions. Additional terms for the Expedition in question will be provided by the Tour Operator. Although every effort will be made to conduct an Expedition as planned, all itineraries are subject to change.
