Froggy Toss and Catch

Carefully cut the bottom off of a clean, dry soda bottle. This will be the frog's body.

Trace a large circle on the piece of green craft foam. (Tip: Trace around a dinner plate to draw a perfect circle.) Cut out the circle. This will be the frog's head.

Place the soda bottle, cut side down, on the green circle. Use a pencil to trace around the edge of the bottle. This circle should be slightly off center, as it will be the frog's mouth. (See photo.) Use a cutting blade to cut out an open-mouth shape. NOTE: Cut this piece SMALLER than the circle you have drawn.

With your frog face flat on the table, center the soda bottle on top of the mouth. Use a glue gun to glue the bottle onto the foam. Let this dry while you work on the other parts of the frog.

Make eyes by cutting two smaller circles from the white craft foam. (Tip: Trace around a glass or cup). Then cut two smaller circles from the black craft foam and glue them onto the white circles.

Make frog legs by cutting two long strips from the green construction paper. Cut four flippers from the remaining paper. Glue a flipper to each end of the long strips.

If desired, glue a red paper tongue to the frog's mouth. Make it curl by wrapping the strip of paper around a pencil.

Now you are ready for a game of catch! Take turns tossing and catching small objects in the frog's mouth.
