Turtle Soap

Grate the entire bar of soap into the bowl. Add the food coloring and water and mix with the grated soap to form a ball.

• Place the ball on a sheet of wax paper and flatten the ball with the palm of your hand until it is about 1-1/2 inches thick.
• Draw and cut out your own turtle shape or download the pattern.
• Place the turtle template on top of the flattened soap. Use a spoon to carve along the outline of the turtle. Smooth the carved sides by slightly wetting the soap and rubbing the sides with your fingers.

• Shape the excess soap into an oval. This will become the turtle’s shell. Remove the template and secure the turtle’s shell in place.
• Use a toothpick to make indentations for the turtle's eyes and lines on its shell.

• Place the turtle soap in a warm spot to dry overnight.
• Peel off the wax paper. Now your turtle soap is ready for a splash in the tub.
