Cut out a single turtle shell from the egg carton (just one hump).
Choose one shade of green and paint the outside of the shell.
While the shell is drying, cut 4 legs out of construction paper
or fun foam in the shape of rectangles. Cut little triangles into
one end of each leg to make it look like little feet.
Cut out a pointy, triangle shaped tail and a long, rounded off
rectangular head shape from construction paper. Draw eyes on the turtle's
head or add google eyes.
When the shell is dry, use the other shade of green paint and paint
some different designs on your turtle's back. Be creative!
When the shell is completely dry (designs and all), glue the flat
side of the legs, tail and head to the underside of the egg carton
shell along the rim. The body parts should poke out from under the
bowl like a turtle would from under its shell. (It might be helpful
to glue or staple the legs, tail and head together before gluing it
onto the shell.)
