I was taking pics of this one as I approached, but this was actually just what I was hoping for - to catch him at the moment of takeoff, just as he launched himself (or herself - I can't tell which) out over the lake. I'm pretty fanatical about trying to get feather texture and not letting the whites get blown out, so I was really happy with this one.
