This was taken from a Norwegian icebreaker, on my first time in Polar Bear country. It was shot as a slide and scanned, very old school. This morning, I was up in the wheelhouse. The head guide was scanning the ice ahead of us and handed me the binoculars. He asked if I saw a bear, I said yes! We floated up as quietly as an icebreaker can, but the bear, probably age 2, found us interesting and didn't leave. Breakfast was very late that morning, as we all shot photos of this handsome boy.
