Bailey Head, Deception Island
Deception Island is the home of a large colony of Chinstrap Penguins. Bailey Head is the name of the beach were people are able to land to visit the colony, and where the penguins leave and return to the colony. This photo shows the motion of the waves hitting the steep beach and mass of penguins getting ready to return to the ocean to feed, with some moving foward into the onrushing waves.
