Paragliding at Celestun National Reserve in the south of Mexico. After Huracan Gilberto (1988) several groups of flamingos settled down in this area. The largest groups in North America reside in the Yucatan Peninsula. Flamingos are very elusive and nervous birds, they find their strenght in congregation. This time, I was flying above them over the ria very early in the morning, suddenly they started moving around simultaneously, keeping the group together. This amazing behavior some times creates fascinating figures, this one seems like a giant seahorse.
