Tanjung Puting National Park in Borneo, Indonesia
We were fortunate when a mother and baby orangutan exited the jungle close to our location. The baby was very playful, climbing all over the mother. As you can see in the photo, at one point it was gazing into the upper forest canopy. If you look closely at the image, you can see the reflection of the jungle in baby’s eyes. What is it thinking, maybe wondering what the future will hold with the aggressive harvesting of the jungle in this region, for palm plantations?
