I was alerted by (some good friends) to a nest with several young Pileated Woodpeckers. Both the Mom and Dad were bringing in food. Shortly after this photograph, the young left the nest. The nest hole was not available during the next season due to weather bringing down the nest tree. My title for this shot is: “Hi mom, what’s for lunch?”
