I'm a novice photographer particularly interested in animal photography. With birds, you often only have a second or two to compose and take a shot. Because this fellow was showing off, however, I had a good opportunity to experiment with settings and composition. I liked this image best because the angle of the bird's head suggests curiosity.
Minor adjustments to exposure, contrast, clarity, vibrance, highlights and shadows. Cropped slightly overall(about 10%) without changing significantly the composition of the image.
