Lembeh Straits, Indonesia
Skeleton shrimp live in a communal society. No bigger than 12mm in length -they are hardly visibly by the human eye without help of a macro lens and diopter. They resemble human beings in many ways, and I refer to them as the Little people of the sea. Here a pregnant femal lays down, perhaps to give birth to her enormous egg sack, while the alpha male of the society stands over her.
some dust removal, slight darkening, and sharpening. Some cropping.
Nikon D200, 105 mm lens, 10x subsee diopter, sea & sea housing, dual inon z220 strobes.
