Hatcher Pass, Palmer, Alaska
While hiking on the slopes of the Talkeetna Mountains in Hatcher Pass State Park in Palmer, Alaska, I was keeping an eye out for any wildlife that might be around. This collared pika popped up from one of the many underground tunnels on the tundra covered rocky slope. This cute little animal is a member of the rabbit family and is about the size of a small guinea pig!
