Shenandoah National Park, Virginia
Most photographs of whitetail fawns from Shenandoah National Park are taken in the Big Meadows area. I like to try other areas so I will go on long morning hikes and hang out in deep foliage. I was blessed on this morning as I saw this mother licking her newborn of its scent. I had to lie low and keep my distance to not disturb them. The forest, the grass, and the newborn: Spring time in the blue ridge!
