Mombo Camp, Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana, Africa
While on safari at Mombo Camp, Botswana, Africa, my goal was to get a good photograph of the well known leopard named Legadema and made famous by the Jouberts in filming the Eye of the Leopard. We followed her 4 days in a row and was able to capture hundreds of great pictures of her, but this was my favorite. It was about 7:30 a.m. when we came across Legadema and followed her. Soon a hyeana discovered her, and Legadema climbed a tree and watched the hyaena below. We found that she had many obstacles to contend with in her daily hunt for food for her two cubs, and this was the first of many more to come throughout the rest of the day.
Only minor cropping and slight sharpening.
