Bering Island, Commander Islands, Russia
We had landed on Bering Island and I was exploring the island on my own. I saw some of our group looking at the rocks and saw the sandpiper. I fired off a few shots as I got closer. Once I was as close as possible without climbing down the rocks, I set up and waited for some action. The tide was coming in and every few minutes one of the sandpipers would jump to a new rock. I was able to capture one of the leaps.
