After getting off of a small river boat form some rather intense photography, we walked through the forest where I found this guy perched on a tree, I was carrying a 6x45 Digital back, with a 300mm f/2.8 lens attached, I wanted to get even closer to the subject and blow out the background even more, so I attached a couple of extension tubes to allow a closer focusing distance and was eventually able to get the intimate look I wanted. My next issues was focusing since I was effectively working in a "macro" style of shooting, along with a telephoto lens and a very wide aperture my DoF was paper thin but I eventually nailed the shot thanks in no small part to my patient subject.
