Socorro Island, Revillagigedo Archipelago, Mexico
This shot was taken on a night snorkel with Silky sharks at Socorro Island. Initially the Silkies were a little wary when there were 10-15 photographers in the water, but when it got down to just myself and the photographer in the photo they decided to get up close and personal. They were bumping us, and bumping into the domes on our cameras, which made for a wonderful interaction. Being so close to the surface provided an opportunity for some beautiful reflections.
Converted to black and white, adjusted basic tone, contrast, sharpness, and some backscatter removal.
