Aliso Viejo, CA
After a day long hike at Aliso & Wood Canyons Park in Aliso Viejo, CA, I ran into a medium sized group of mule deer at the trail. I started taking pictures when a biker passed by right through the deer, scaring them away towards a hill just a few meters from the trail. I ran to the base of the hill across from where I knew the deer would go. After sitting there, waiting for the deer to appear, several of them came out of the bushes and trees. All showed curiosity towards me and approached me without fear. I stood at about 15 feet from the group and they surrounded me for about 6 minutes before climbing up the hill and into the woods.
