Harns Marsh, Lehigh Acres, Florida
I captured this photo early one morning when I had just decided to go out into the middle of the marsh, lie still, and see what happened. As I was quietly photographing other wildlife which had come in close, this solitary Roseate Spoonbill suddenly landed very close to me, and gave me over an hour of amazing photography. Sometimes just quietly connecting with the wild gives us our best photography.
