Private Property near Naples Florida
I had seen this particular perch while photographing Buntings over several days, but it was rare that the birds were landing on it. Still, I knew that if I could get a male Painted Bunting on this perch with a dark background, it would be a great image. I had to wait what seemed like forever before FINALLY getting my chance. He was only there for a few seconds, and then was gone. The dark background is actually a huge tree trunk in the distance.
Crop, Straighten, Exposure adjusted +.60 in RAW, Selective Denoise, Selective Sharpening.
