Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Western Colorado Desert, San Diego County, California
We, Nita Winter and I, were out photographing wildflowers til it was too dark to continue (which was very common for us). As we were returning to the car Nita notice this beautiful desert lily bloom. We decided to return at sunrise to photograph it. When we returned the next morning two of the 8 flowers had closed but we still loved the ones that remained. We used all natural light with reflectors to even out the light and piles of clothing, etc to keep the light off the light sand below.
film scanned and adjustments to color, contrast, brightness and sharpness to return to original experience.
