Everglades National Park
While driving the main road of Everglades National Park at night, I kept seeing little glints of light reflecting my headlights, so I decided to pull over one night to see what was causing the reflections. To my surprise, the reflections were from the eyes of wolf spiders in the road. As I approached this spider, she ran off the road and into the grass next to the roadway. This offered me an opportunity to create this panorama of her resting in the grass.
Several sequential overlapping images were taken of spider. Each image was then seamlessly blended together in Photoshop using layers and masks all while keeping the integrity of the scene as it was observed. Color was then adjusted, dodging and burning, contrast and sharpening to optimize the raw image. Panorama was created because artistically, a single frame is not enough for me to tell a more complete visual story of the subjects photographed.
